Blooming Prairie Backpack Program

At the Blooming Prairie Backpack Program, our mission is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making our corner of the world; one with less food insecurity for our students. Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive studies which show that 1 in every 5 students in our community suffers from food insecurity and 1 in 10 households in Minnesota struggle with food insecurity.

Our purpose is to try and ease the burden of food insecurity by sending home food each weekend during the school year with students who qualify for our services.
