This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. During the school year we are in need of volunteer drivers who pick up the food at St. Columbanus Parish and drive it to the Blooming Prairie Elementary on Wednesday evenings.  This is an integral part of helping our Backpack Program thrive.  Requirements include the ability to drive your vehicle to the packing location and have a big enough vehicle to hold 8-10 plastic totes loaded with bags of food.  When food is unloaded at the Blooming Prairie Elementary School, a cart is available to help move the totes into the Elementary Conference room.

Our program will be in need of volunteer drivers this year but due to Covid-19 while picking up food a mask or face shield is required while in the vicinity of other people.
